Connor's Disease

My brother is infected! He woke up Monday morning and saw some red bumps on his arms and neck and over the last few days these bumps have covered his ENTIRE body including the inside of his mouth!!! He went to the doctor earlier in the week and the doctor thought it was a viral infection so he was put on steroids. The steroids seemed to not be working as his condition worsened so he went to the doctor again today. Now they think he has HIVES! The doctor told Connor he had never seen anything like this before. The bumps are starting to clump together all over his body, it's the craziest thing I've ever seen. And it itches! POOR THING! The doctor drew his blood and they are going to test it. In the mean time he is seeing a dermatologist tomorrow to confirm whether or not it is hives and if so, he will then need to see an allergist to find out what he is allergic to.

The only thing my Dad could think of that might have caused this breakout is Connor ate shellfish at Red Lobster with my Dad last Saturday after the priesthood session of conference, but he has eaten seafood many times before so we're not sure what he's allergic to.

Connor got his license last week so he drove himself to the doctor today. So weird to think he is driving now! After his doctor's appointment, he came by my work to show me what his body looked like. I had seen pictures on my sister's cell phone, but the pictures don't do it justice. He told me there isn't one spot on his body where he doesn't have bumps and that it's hard to sleep and bathe. Pray that he will heal quickly!

This happens to kailey a lot! No explanation....well one time it was they gave her the wrong dose of medicine. Still....freaks you out when it happens. I hope they get it figured out or he may be like kailey....just a random rash all over her stomach that eventually goes away!

Yikes! Hope it goes away soon...poor kid. How's baseball been treating him since we last talked? I told Jake bout how fast he pitched and he thought it was pretty amazing for a freshman!!! Or even anyone in highschool.
