Scott's Graduation & Eagle Project

My brother-in-law, Scott, graduated from Williamsfield High School in May and finished his Eagle Project in June. Michael and I are so proud of him! Scott will be 19 next June and my brother, Connor, will be 19 next September so they are both preparing to go on missions and we'll have 2 missionaries out at about the same time!! It's going to be so much fun writing both of them and hearing their experiences :)
Michael and Scott hang out together a lot, mostly going to the gym and playing basketball with other stake members, but they haven't done it as much this last month since Michael started working for Southwest and I know he misses it. Scott played football in high school and towards the end of the season of his final year, the football team printed a book with information about the players and asked them some questions. Scott was asked who he looked up to and he said, "My brother Mike." I thought it was sweet and Michael was touched :)

Scott decided to paint a house and fence at Sunshine Acres, a place that has given a home to more than 1,600 children since the 1950's. And he decided to do this in the middle of June when it was 113 degrees outside! It was SOOOO HOT, but we worked hard and within a few days it was done! Only a few scouts came to help, but a bulk of the work was done by Scott, Ann, Emily, Matt and I, and Michael when he could (he had summer school so he couldn't help until he got out of class).

It's a good thing we had tall men!

 My husband is BRILLIANT!
He and Matt were sweating so bad and he had some extra shirts in his car, so they worked like this for the rest of the afternoon. Meet "Mexican Mike" and.....

 "Mexican Matt"!!
Look how he put his sunglasses on! Hahaha!!
