I went to The Eagles "Long Road Out of Eden" concert at the US Airways Center in Phoenix last Wednesday. My entire family went, including Cameron, and besides N'SYNC it was the BEST concert I have ever been too :) I've actually seen The Eagles in concert before, but this concert was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! I just love them and wish that there was more music like theirs in my days.
Don't my parents look happy? Funny story...I asked this lady to take our picture and quickly explained the quirks about my camera (I need a new one) and she said, "I'm a photographer, so I know." Really? Do you? Well why is it then that 1) The picture is blurry and 2) My parents aren't smiling because you took 5 years to take the friggin' picture! Huh? HUH?? Some photographer, eh? Just kidding, really not that big of a deal, it's just the whole family at the most amazing concert ever and my parents only look like prison inmates...BAHAHAHA!!! PS We did NOT color coordinate, we just roll like that.*WARNING* Ignore my naked eyes, my mascara grew legs and disappeared that night.
The concert was supposed to start at 8 pm and 8:30 rolled around before those old Eagles finally came out and then it was 3 hours of BLISS!! My parents and Connor and I sat together in the upper level and Kell, Cass, and Cam sat a lot closer to the stage. They also paid double what we paid for our tickets, so rightfully so. 
I turn on the tube and what do I see A whole lotta people cryin don't blame me

Joe Walsh is the most amazing guitarist ever! Can't understand a word he's singing, but who cares when he can play the guitar like no other? Unbelievably cool.
The arena was packed, I didn't see one open seat. It was incredible! Like my Dad said, "Who is writing music today that people will still listen to 40 years from now?" Amen.

What a lame photographer. Just because someone is a photographer doesn't mean that you automatically know how to use every single camera. And second of all, she should have known to take more than one. Other than that, it looks like it was a great time.
Prison inmates? Harsh, Lins! Very harsh. We didn't know she was taking it for heaven's sake.
I love this post! And I completely agree with you about timeless music. It's just gone downhill after the 70's and 80's in my humble opinion. But, I do have good taste- I did marry your cousin afterall;-)

In answer to your dad's question...I believe Rascall Flatts is writing music that people will listen to 40 years from now...maybe Celine Dion, will be listened to...and maybe Taylor Swift...maybe.... : )

Gosh I am so jealous. So jealous. I love the eagles. As much as I love Chicago even. And DANG, Connor is all grown up, when did THAT happen??? Wow. We need to plan a girls day sometime soon. Really soon.
